The picture depicts a scene of six people under a shelter. 2 of them are asleep on what seems to be cardboard. The other 4 of them, 3 guys and a lady, seems to be chatting happily despite the environment they are living in, a dirty and poor town. They are the main focus as they are positioned in the middle of the image. It is daytime and there seems to be people behind them working for a living. I presume the life they are living in is not that comfortable and good, however, they still seem to be happy and enjoy each other’s company. The photographer might be conveying to the people that money does not matter as long as a family sticks together through thick and thin and enjoy their life despite the hardships they go through. What I like about the image is that it shows how other people enjoy life without many material things unlike some other people in the world who think they need money in order to enjoy life. If I were the photographer, I would have captured the image in a way that the house of the family could be seen so that more emotions can be conveyed and people could see how poor this family is.
