Picture 2 (a)
This picture depicts the scene of the morning rush hour in India. A long line of taxis are lined up on the road causing a traffic jam. A motorcycle, driven by a blue checked shirt man, looks like he is about to overtake the other cars. He is very lucky to be driving a motorcycle in this slow moving traffic. Rows of antique shophouses lined up on one side of the road. A rickshaw man is ferrying two kids whom I presumed are his own sons.
I think the main focus is the rickshaw man and his two kids as it is a total contrast to the long row of taxis. The difference between the rich and the poor is shown clearly in this picture. The rickshaw man is trying his hardest to ferry his two sons to where I presume is the school and that he is going to the market to sell his goods that he is also ferrying.
I believe the photographer is trying to convey to us the difference in power in India. I liked this picture the photographer has taken as it can help educate others about the difference in people who possess high class power in the economy and the people who are doing just trying their best to get through another day.
